The finish line of the first Road Rash game is at the end of the road. At each level, the road will lengthen a little longer before the finished line was reach. In the second and third versions of the game, the roads introduced were interconnected rather than going over and over the same road in each level.

What would eliminate players from the race is if they wrecked their motorcycles and didn’t have enough cash to fix the damage or if they got busted by the police. However, the second and third versions increased the fun. They offered two player modes wherein two people could race against one another on a split screen.
